18 mini low-cost sensors system, developed by the Haute École de la Province de Liège (HEPL) and ISSeP, are going to be installed in the town of Marche-en-Famenne.

These stations, fixed to public lighting poles at a height of between 3 and 4 m, along the boulevard, the bypass and near schools, will make it possible to measure the main ambient air pollutants even more locally, namely:

  • Fine particles (PM2.5);
  • Nitrogen monoxide (NO);
  • Nitrogen dioxide (NO2);
  • Ozone (O3)

4 of these 18 low-cost sensors system are also equipped with an additional sensor measuring CO2.

This deployment is the first of its kind in Wallonia and other mini-stations will be installed during the month of July...
